CONTENT CREATION

Content is king – we’ve heard it a thousand times.  It must be engaging and brief, but deliver the right message at the right time to the right people.  Without content – the Internet as we know it simply would not exist.

However, writing content is not easy.  It’s a skill that takes years of practice and trial and error in order to accomplish your goal.  If you are creating content for a website, it must be detailed enough that you are able to convey your message to your audience quickly.  However, it must not be so detailed that you end up disengaging your audience and losing their interest.    

Creating content for an email is similar to content creation for a website – but you must keep in mind that you only have your audience’s attention for a brief moment.  Once again, you must be detailed enough to get your message across, without losing the possibility for engagement.  The email content must also be relevant to the audience that the email is being sent to. 

Social media content creation is a relatively new skill that takes some time to master.  Some platforms, like Twitter, limit the amount of characters that you can use in your message.  You must also take into account that most people are viewing social media posts on their mobile phone, so being brief and concise is paramount.  Many marketers may excel in website or email copywriting, but they are unable to consistently create content that will engage and convert on the social networks.
